Why Detector Dogs?

The worldwide need for detector dogs has skyrocketed since the attacks of September 11th. Dogs are uniquely able to recognize and find substances that are utterly hidden from human senses. Unfortunately, due to a complicated and often confusing government purchasing process and differences in US and European dog breeding culture, more than 90% of federal detector dogs purchased each year were born in Europe.
